Beautifully broken handworked print on paper matted to 16 x 16

This piece was created in a moment of true art therapy. When I just scratch paint without any plan. Not for a commission or order, no color plan, no composition in mind just me criss cross applesauce on the ground by candlelight.  I typically paint fast and use a wet on wet technique which for those that don’t paint all the time is very easy to manipulate but also very easy to mess up. Especially in the dark drinking wine and fingerpainting. 
15 minutes into this piece I hear a voice telling me to stop and step back. The  most powerful image had appeared on my canvas. 
I was the vessel He chose at that moment, my fingers the tool He used. It was exactly what I needed and what we all need reminding daily, hourly. Minute by minute. 
I kept the original piece and over the past few very difficult months I have just gazed upon Him while I cook (my other therapy) He speaks to me words of REPAIR, RESTORATION, RECOVERY. 
He reminded me of his promise to provide what we need. He reminded me with the words he speaks through this piece what I was created to do for him on earth to share my gift with others. To create beauty from ashes. 

A portion of each piece sold will be used to provide scholarships for residential care for adolescents struggling with substance abuse. My passion project and 501c3  Chord and canvas.

Thank you Jesus for appearing on my canvas. Thank you for reminding me that you are here in the darkest moments and your promise of brighter days to come. Thank you for giving me a supernatural healing of art as therapy for my troubled soul. You are beautiful and powerful even broken and beaten, persecuted and challenge without you I am a lost sheep.
